The Java version I use is:

Hi again bibo, mats, and all others having this kind of problem.

After reading bibo's latest comment, i thought the java version
could be the cause.
And it was!
My current runtime is java 6, i downloaded java 5, and it worked.
Note that java 5 and java 6 can be installed at the same time,
you just need to choose which one to use upon start of the .jar file,
by right-clicking on it and choose java 5.

It should also be possible in terminal:
java -jar -version:xxx RBEditor.jar

However, no matter what i wrote in xxx, java responded
"Unable to locate JRE meeting specification"

But, as said, in the GUI it worked..

For bibo (and other non-swedish speakers):
For me, the program started in Swedish as the default language.
If the same happens to you,
open menu "Arkiv" and select item "Inställningar"
Select English in the dropdown box to the right of "Programspråk",
and then click on "Spara inställningar" (Save settings)
Restart the program again and it's in English.

Ciao!
I am a Java programmer, but I haven't the source code so... I can't do anything.

To understand what happens I have "decompiled" (a sort of reverse engineering) some the java classes obtaining a source (that was obfuscated). I found where the problem is. At startup the program make some test about java version.
What happens is that the program call System.getProperty("java.vm.version"). This function with last version of Java on Linux return a value that the programmer did not expected, so the program crash with error.

I haven't found a way to cheat Java about the system property "java.vm.version" and without the source code make a reverse engineering decompiling all the code (whi was obfuscated) will be a big big effort.

By the way, there is non source anywhere? RBEditor is not maintained anymore?

Thanks

Did you do some further developments, eg.
- solving the problem of multiple columns printing, same remark as Steve.
- being able to reverse the order of waypoints

Thanks,

Hi, I want to use RBEditor for motorcycle purposes. I am looking for a way to make the height of a waypoint line half the size it is now, so more waypoints are possible on one page (otherwise it takes too much paper for the road book we use here very often in the Netherlands.
Please help me….

Hi Daniel,

Are you still developing on the software?
I'm intrested in the way to draw some more objects for the RBEditor.

Is there a way to do this at the moment. I've read the tread about the next version incorperating a editor of sort ways but see that there has been no update after 2006.

Shame if your not developing this product any further. I know a lot of clubs/people in the car club scene in the Netherlands who will be thrilled by your software with some more objects.

I'm a boardmember of the MX-5 Owners club Holland and responsible of this year for the outings on the road.

With kind regards Paul

Thanks Daniel, it worked just fine.
I look forward to the print fix. While you are fixing.... make all the column widths adjustabel also. We use both the large and small roadbooks and rollcharts so that would be a big help.

Thanks,
